Hello My Name Is: Norezz [COM]
Name: Norezz
Crew: COM Crew & GOL Stars
City/Country: Vienna, Austria
When did you start writing? early 2000
What’s graffiti for you? Freedom in society
Influences? I think its a little bit of everything which is happen every day. I enjoy my life cause I got the best family and friends!
Tell us about your city, how is life and graffiti there? My hometown is Dresden, Germany. I would say there is a small but a very creative graffiti scene. I think the important writers from there are the guys from RTC, FAQ, N.C.C, SOX, 23er, BKAC, THK, IBG and FOO Crew. They really reclaim the streets. After years i decided to go forward and move to another city. At the end I aground in vienna. Now its the point of my life and I really enjoy it. Vienna is much more than Dresden. A bigger system, more people from all around the world and more subculture. I would say its a really friendly city. There is no crime as like as in Berlin or Paris. Vienna is also a good starting point for traveling. You can go in all directions very easy and cheap. The graffiti, which impresses me isn’t from the locals. I don’t wanna say that vienna don’t have good writers but it’s not my taste. There certainly really active and productive writers. For me the best writers in vienna be called Chi, Fury, Mrok, Ned, Nudge, Sior, Stace and the guys from WE ARE and TD2F. Here is a lot of space to have fun!
What keeps you still writing? It’s like an addiction. I waste a lot of time to do this shit, for me it makes sense to do it again and again and again… It’s a big part of my life . It is an everyday evils such as eat food, drink, have sex and sleep.
What first made you interested in graffiti and how did you end up on that track? When I was 10 years old, my cousin made a tagging with a marker on a current case. It was really ugly (hahahaa..), but from this point my career started. Then I met Slider from THE BANDITS. He teached me and I learned a lot about technique, colors and style. After years of painting classic styles with 3D Blocks and arrows and a many stupid connections I decided to write a new name. I have freed myself from wild-style and tried some next level shit. Story continues…
What trends are you seeing now in the graffiti world that you don’t like? I don’t like writers that don’t evolve by themselves but say to me that I painting “antistyle” or something like this. I think the modern full-color wild-style looks like a plate full of Spaghetti. Many young people are not interested in the history and rules of graffiti…
What do you do when you’re not painting? Sometimes I go to work, sometimes I sleep, sometimes I drink and go for Party. Don’t think to much about the future.
Is it important that people see your stuff and you get recognition? In this time yes. Before I paint Norezz I paint a lot of other names and I don’t show it to anybody, maybe some pictures in some Magazines but I don’t send the flix to them…
How would you describe your style? My style, I like fresh colors. I try to use simple letters and bring it to life. It’s a mix of graffiti between 1960 and 2015. I only use original cap and fat cap. The other mainstream bullshit I don’t care.
Can you remember the first piece you did? Oh yes, I don’t know! I was 11 years old and I painted with an orange MTN Hardcore, which I found on the tracks, on the wall in my children room. My father exploded and it was also my first bust.
Future plans? To keep healthy and see more of the world.
